Does anyone know if there is a difference in the outer wheelhouses between '71-72 and '73-74 Chargers? I was pricing them through jsbrown today-AMD has a notification in their catalog that states they have to be modified to fit the later cars. When he inquired with AMD what modifications would have to be made to have them fit, they stated that they thought they would have to be modified in the front, but didn't know for sure as they have never had a late one to compare....so, does anyone know (a) if they have to be modded, and (b) if so, what mods have to be made?

Thanks
Jason

Theres qite abit of modifications to be done beings how the 73/4 well lip is 1.25" higher than the 71/2. Cut it back, recurve and get a lip back on it. Looking at it, I'm not so sure it can be done.

I am pretty sure that 71/72 Charger fenders have a smaller wheel arch radius that the later 73/74's as the wheel moldings are not interchangeable between the two.

Doesn't sound promising to mod them then? I know there is some rust around the flanges on mine, but until I get the car into the shop, I'm not certain how bad of shape they are actually in. May be easier just to patch the ones on the car.

Thanks for the info.
