graphx OP member G Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 40 East Central Illinois	My '71 GTX has been in need of a replacement windshield since I bought the car back in 1985. Just this past weekend my son and I were at a U-Pull It salvage yard and found a '74 Satellite Sebring 2-door hardtop. This Satellite has perfect glass; The windshield doesn't even have a wiper scratch, and all the surrounding stainless trim is immaculate, including the trim around the backlight. I plan to return to the yard and remove all the glass from the car - it's that nice. My question then, does the glass (and the windshield in particular) in the '74 interchange with the '71 GTX glass? I'd sure appreciate any help on this. Thanks. Stephen

There are 3 things that will live forever, cockroaches, Keith Richards, & slant 6 Dusters 71 gtx 440 4speed air grabber blue on blue with white vinyl roof

Looks as though I'll grab all the glass except the rear quarter windows. Now that you mention it, those quarter windows did look different from my '71's! I'll leave those for someone else. Heres a 71 quarter that glues into a channel. 72-4 glass has a tail with holes and is screwed to the regulaor. Thought I had a 72-4 pic. All 72-4 B rollup quarter glass is the same. 72-3 fixed glass is the same as 71 glass. I have a quarter glass from a 74 Charger in my 72 Satellite. Also on the windshield and rear window trim, 71-2 is stainless and 73-4 is aluminum. 72N96RR I LOVE WEDGIES Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 11,632 SHELBY TWP,,MICHIGAN	AMD has the rear glass and I just installe done in my 72 RR and it fit perfectly...I heard some complaints about the tinted glass but mine is clear and perfect...I have a set of non roll down 71 glass that is MINT ...I need to trade them for 72 clear glass that rolls down.... 1972 Road Runner / GTX 440 4spd Dana 3.54 Just about to turn 26K original miles.. A boat, a GMC truck, some Craftsman Tools, LOTS of Zombie Protection, and a few Goldfish.. If you love someone set them free.. If they come back it means nobody else wanted them either..!!
