I have a 74 roadrunner (360/4-speed) that has only a front sway, and my 74 SS+ ( 318/auto) has both front & rear... go figure. MRHWS enthusiast Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 329 Orange Park, FL	Front sway bar was standard on all '73 SE V8s and 440 coupes and hardtops. Not positive on 400s. Part of Rallye package(A57) was a rear sway bar, so there would have been a front bar. You could order a Rallye 318 2bbl, so a 318 would come with a front bar. HD suspension packages S11, 13, 15, 16 and 31 included the front sway bar. All '74 Chargers came with a front sway bar. ALL Roadrunners from 1972, 3 & 4 should have both F&R sway bars - part of the RR package. Charger Rallyes too. My '73 RR handled like a slot car - also probably the finest riding Mopar I've ever owned, right up there in comfort & handling with my old '79 300. No Man With A Good Car Needs To Be Justified

cjskotni pro stock Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 1,526 North Carolina	My 73 Charger had a front stabilizer bar from the factory and no rear sway bar. Car is a 73 Charger SE with the 400 4bbl. Yes, the 73-74 Chargers had totally revised suspension from the 72 and earlier Chargers...so suspension parts won't interchange for the most part.

Why do people always lump them together????? Agreed. However in 1972, even the big block Charger Rallyes got rear sway bars, but none of the BB '71's had the rear bars. We're talking suspension & sway bars here & changes from year to year - that's why I threw the '72's in there. Also, the '72 RR's & GTX's got the rear sway bars on ALL engines. Rather significant changes. No Man With A Good Car Needs To Be Justified

Different front frame rails, cross member, aprons, core support and K-frame. But there is alot that is the same. Most the rest of the body, interior and drive train is simular.
