Talked to Radar at R&J Performance yesterday. I should have my Victors back by next week. Do you guys port match your own intake manifold or leave it up to the pros? Thanks! Ted

I hear ya! I may not have enough cash to get this thing done till mid summer...Have lots of stuff to buy yet! We did discuss the cam that I have,he said it will work just fine for what I am doing..Gonna be real interesting to see what this thing does with heads that flow 340 cfm plus as compared to 298 cfm...

I did mine with a small pneumatic grinder, but I also like to do things myself.

Cool!! I have an M-1 that we can slap on this till everything else is ready. It will be a while but I think the end results will be worth it!

Me too ... Now for a quik question .... How much intake porting is basic common sense or is this a exact science kinda thing where you just need a flow bench? Is there a intake runner taper to follow like... if your port is 2.5 x 1.5 @ the head you should have 3.5 x 2 @ the plenum... that kinda stuff

Unless you are talking about a Pro Stock or all out Comp Elim car you aren't going to see any big gains in my opinion so I would just do it yourself.

Which intake is it Ted? Can the intake (port matched or otherwise) keep up with the bigger heads extra flow?

Unless the sides of the port are way off, it's best to concentrate on matching the port roofs. And there's also a school of thought about leaving the intake roof a little smaller than the head roof, as a sort of anti-reversion dam.
