Had a rough trip to tulsa...caught the marker light cicuit on fire under the dash in the middle of New Mexico, just had to park and wait til daylight. Then spent 90 minutes sitting in the middle of I-40 waiting for an accident to clear up.
Yeah, we are thrashing hard..it's not pretty, thanks so much for the kind words!!

J-body, 93 1-Ton 12 valve. Dom, Someday one of them Frams may give us trouble, but it's not happened yet. Actually he's got a remote oil filter adapter and oil cooler (filled block) that haven't made it on the truck. He swears the d-shaft is fine, sez it just looks bad with out the rubber boot on the seal...I don't know, he's the tranny guy Boone, Dale, and Darren are still thrashing, and since none of them will concede, and help the other one, they may very well go 0 for 3!!

I stopped in last night and helped Dale wire the Boone's Barn Yard Viper for a few hours.
It didn't have a single wire on it yesterday at 5pm.... Lol
No plumbing other than brake line but not sure if it's been bled yet.
Motor and tranny ae in but that's about it, here is a list of what I saw left to do: Plumb, water, fuel and tranny Wireing in the cab - switches, ignition, turn signals, head lights , fuel pump, etc Dual carb linkage Throttle pedal and rod/linkage to carbs Rear fenders Hood Doors Seats Headers Mufflers Shifter and linkage Finish roll cage, need to weld in rear bars and truck bed plate (for looks because it will be welded to the frame) Dash Steering column Fuel cell Fuel pump, regulator and 1 way valve so it can run off them mechanical pump on street and Aeromotive 2000 on the strip Belts for drive and passenger Plug wires Mount new aluminum radiator and then go to town to find hoses that will work Mount tranny cooler Put grill and hood on Fire up the new motor for the first time and st timing, etc.... Then drive to track tech in and drive 1,5000 miles. Lol
Now for the list form the Gremlin that Dales it taking:
Rewrite with new painless wiring kit Mount and wire turn signals onto the fiberglass front end.... Built custom 2 1/4 headers (he said he would have them done by late after noon, not pretty but functional) Plumb fuel line and radiator hoses Install plug wires Mount and install new steering wheel and custom made column Oh and he only has a5 gallon fuel cell, so he'll need to fill it at least 40 times this next week. I suggested he put 2 fuel jugs in the passenger space and manually pump fuel from them onto the fuel cell as he drives down the road with one of those fist/squeeze hand pumps... Lol I know I'm forgetting 20 things...
The Belvadere that Billy's daughter is flying in to drive: He was in the middle of swapping out the stock spring and installing Hemi springs so it can act as their pack mule for supplies. He almost had the spring off when we quit around mid-night last night so this one will be finished and ready by noon today.
Darren had his car at his house installing the full exhaust with x pipe and everyone at dale's was telling him just ditch the x pipe and exhaust and install the motor.... Lol
And they still ALL believe they will all make it for Sunday check in....

If the truck makes it we need to pitch in and buy all involved some kind of ridiculous trophy.

It sounds like a crazy thrash. But, man, that sounds like a blast and something a lot of memories will be made out of. (Would be for me, anyway.)

Yeah, The thrash has been intense, but enjoyable, and help from buddies like Wade, and Darryl is great, and appreciated. I've still got a healhty list for the Valiant, but it's been hard to concentrate on it with my brothers being so far away from complete. Thursday morning, I took the Valiant to Sams Alignment and Brakes, here in Tulsa. He was reccomended by my brother as being "A top notch Mopar guy". He set the car up on the Hunter 4 wheel, and told me the rearend was 3/8" crooked in the car, and I had 1 1/2 inches of toe-in !! So I apologize to Goodyear for bad-mouthing thier Drag radials last year! So he set me all up, then refused to take a dime! His quote was "It's a cool old Mopar, I'll make it up on the next chevy guy that comes in.." Then he gave a quick look over towards the lowered C-5 yalla Vette with the blown stroker motor that was next to go on the rack.... Wade's lists are pretty accurate, so here's whats left on the Valiant Brake Lights Water Temp Guage (I broke the mech one removing the engine) 4 headlights on bright, none on dims. remount and wire horn rewire the temp job we did last year on the n20, transbrake, linelock switchs... I'm sure there is more, but my brain is fried...
