One car has issues at the light at the start
the other one does a wheel stand and goes swirving and hitting the wall but crosses the finish line first but backwards..

then comes the other one bearly able to go down the track later crossing the line

As long as the 2nd car did not have help to get down the track or didn't time out he is the winner.

I thought the walls and crossing lanes were "out of bound"?

I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....

well it's most likely up to the track owner/operator however according the the nhra rulebook (09 i don't feel like downloading the 2012) if both drivers cross lines they are both disqualified. if it's the final round the driver crossing lines first is disqualified

2nd car refers to the one that had trouble on the line and crossed the stripe last. Did he get crossed up at the start? I thought he just didn't leave?

i assumed "later crossing the line" meant one of the boundary lines. if it was the finish line that was meant then i don't see why the second car would not be declared the winner but timing out on the starting line could disqualify him/her as well i guess

I couldn't get the video to work, I'm not a Tweeter NHRA rules have always had the first or worst rules in competion(eliminations), that rule says and means that the first offender, IE redlight, or the worst offender, cross the centerline or hit the guard rail goes out. I've seen a racer, me, reinstituted whan a racer was below the minimum weight at the scales, Same thing if the other racer crosses the center line when you redlight, the redlight is first but crossing the centerline is worst, so the redlighter gets back in ,simple huh

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Cab, when I started racing at US 30 (AHRA track) if both redlit or one redlit and the other broke out, you were both out. They loved it when there were double reds in the finals, both guys got 2nd place money. ($10 compared to $25 for winning)
