From Edelbrock website

HEAD BOLTS or STUDS: High quality head studs or head
bolts with hardened washers must be used to prevent
galling of the aluminum bolt bosses. Edelbrock Head Bolt Kit
#8555 includes two longer-than-stock bolts which must be
used with these cylinder heads. If you use any other head
bolts, you must use the two head bolts and washers supplied
with these heads in position #5 in Fig. 1. This position will
not accept stock length head bolts.

That said, I think the 2 bolts were supplied with mine when I bought them, but that was years ago.

Exactly, they send 2 bolts with the heads, I invested in new bolts and washers all the way around when I finally put mine on in 2007.
I used the KB 243 hyper piston which stuck out about .029" which was good with the open chambered eddie heads designed for early higher compression 340s.

I'm using the same pistons as Challenger1
Hughs cam 537/545 ish lift
.028 head gasket to get the compression up a little over the .040 factory/Edelbrock suggested gasket.
I run/race pump premium 93 octane no problem.
BUT, the distributor will need to be curved for your combo.

Stock 340 hipo manifolds are hit or miss, Some fit some don't, The way the drivers manifold curves back towards the head it hits the head, i used a header flange as a spacer

If your 340 is a pre 72 or the pistons are out of the hole around .020 or so you will also need a very think head gasket to get the quinch right. Most 340's have the open chamber piston and the 65cc eddys are a closed chamber design.
