so whats the news today? what about the day by day reports Ray?

8.02 @ 166 mph, it was a nice clean pass.

that did not take long for him to go backwards with the tuneup. Good luck Edie.

would have been eddie's best pass but one of the lines blew out of the manifold around the 1/8th mile.

we have been up for days. we got to the track with 45 minutes to prep the car and get it to the line to make a pass

and i believe it was the fastest pass of the day

Good job! I, a not so pro, think, that it isn't that easy to just go out there and run a 7 with basically a street chassis and not much testing. There is quite a lot of factors involved.

Heck Eddie isn't even a 1/10th off the pace right now from the guy with the nova. The camaro you guys are talking about isn't the orange one is it? He could barely get a burn out done yesterday.

without seeing the progressive times it is easy to pick on the tuneup.the 2 ET's being from 2 tracks is pritty close i would think.i hope any adjustments go in the right direction.

You got to give Eddie credit, it is pretty impressive that the only competition for his backhalfed, nitrous Duster is a tube chassis, twin turbo shoe box from the Unlimited class.

From what I gathered listening to the people in the tower on the live feed, he showed up the the event & the engine sounded like crap. They took off the covers & found the broken rocker. Took off the intake & to check everything else & found the bad lifter. Now... I heard someone say that they kept trying to button it back up, but kept finding things, like the lobe of the broken lifter/ rocker was buggered. @ 22 minutes till the party shut down, he was putting the intake back on.

So, it seems that he may have ran it as it was w/ a new lifter & rocker. It looked like he was doing a shake down pass to see if everything held up, and thought he had enough time to do a full one. When he got back to the water, they popped the hood to adjust something, and ran out of time.

Figured it was only a matter of time before he broke a Comp lifter - he's been pushing their limits for a while now.... too bad for him.

I have been watching the live feed for about 30 minutes now. Nothing but a pickup making laps in the right lane. Not a sole in the stands. What is all the hype about?

You think he's trying to bump the timing up a little too much?
