scratchnfotraction I Live Here S Joined: May 2003 Posts: 15,487 Florida	I use a dawn dish soap bottle to prim carbs with and with starting primeing down the throt of carbs as they are crank over. I had a drink bottle with a sippy straw that worked good also.

If I crank it to fill bowls the battery nearly dies. Prime it and it starts immediately. This is a survivor engine. Heads never off. 69 440 Magnum

If not & it's evaporating that fast I wonder if the heat riser is on all the time & heat soak is evaporating the bowl. If you fill the bowl does the AP kick out a good squirt live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

I know it is not heat soak because I have got the engine started then shut it off cold and it still will not start the next day.

scratchnfotraction I Live Here S Joined: May 2003 Posts: 15,487 Florida	I bet it has a cracked main body on the carb. if it lost prime in 12 hrs and only needs .5 to restart it. i have had to epoxy many q-jets for leaky fuel/jet wells thermobog will do the same thing when the plastic main body is cracked. does the oil smell like gas? are you sure its not dumping it down the intake and washing the cyls? how do the plugs look? got a mini starter and new battery yet?..just kidding Last edited by scratchnfotraction; 02/19/12 11:34 PM.

captaindodge OP enthusiast C Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 279 pgh pa	No cracks and I must have my "Bam-Bam-Bam-Bam" starter. It shouts Mopar just like H-pipe and hemi mufflers. From what I read on Moparts this is a common problem although it's good for anti-theft.
