All things being equal, anyone have any experience with or opinions on either of these two intakes? Std intake port heads. Not looking for max et/hp.

Carbs would be Eddy 750s, Carter Comp 625s, or Holley 660 center squirters.

I appreciate there are other intakes and other carbs out there but this is what I'm working with. If the opinion is only based on personal preference, that's OK as long as you say so. Info on real world experience with either intake or carb pairs listed earns bonus points.

Thanks.

I love the CH28 intakes, I've been running two Edelbrock 500s on my Jensen for a couple years, drivability and top end power are awesome, and mileage is astoundingly good.
I have a CH28 and modified Edelbrocks on my Charger, which sholud be roadworthy soon, and I just bought a CH28 for my.... modified 440 C class motorhome.

Never seen the A&A crossram, I gotta go look!

AndyF might be most useful for CH28 dyno results for concrete number comparisons...?

a friend is running the A&A and likes it alot but he's running a big roller cam too.I'm running a stock m/w stg II but with holley 600's vice eddy's they have been mached to the engine and cam(550 lift) but I think 500's would work better,as for the ch-28 less runner length would bee beter for streetablity.

I'm running the Edelbrock on my convertible with two 500 Carters. No complaints. It works really well using the linkage setup from a street hemi.

On my sedan I'm using the A&A intake with stock 440 ports and two 625 Edelbrock's. My only complaint is that even with manual chokes it's really cold-blooded until it gets warmed up.

Thanks for all the responses.

Looks like folks are happy with their choices. Overriding theme seems to be smaller carbs. Anyone wish they'd done something different? What would you change if you could, if anything? Anything to watch out for? I've heard some horror stories about Eddy STRs puddling fuel & exploding. Anything like that with the A&A intake? I do note the Eddy intake is WAY less expensive.

I looked into a couple magazine articles but couldn't find any head to head info on these two intakes.

Anyone want to send me their set up to test? They look awesome.

Thanks again.

I am with the CH28 as well...I have had it on my 440 for over a year. I love it....I can cruise with one carb and go WOT with the second. (2 Eddy 500s) It helps if you get an A/F meter on the exhaust and dial in the carbs that way. Never tried an A&A...I know mine fite under the hood of my 69 Charger, even with 1/2 phenolic spacers and a customized drop down six-pack aircleaner

Pyper,

That's another good point made here and in other threads recently - the advantage/necessity of using an A/F sensor to tune the carb(s).

Trick looking linkage you got there too.

Thanks.

I was surprised to see the linkage in the box with the CH28...apparently stock edelbrock item. You can make it 1:1 or Progressive...my 2nd carb comes in at about 1900rpm
