i will post a whole rundown of the week. the hradest week i have ever worked in my life.

the 10 number he ran was a mistake. after a full out thrash to pull everything apart to put a new lifter in it and get it all back together in under a hour, i/ we forgot to hook up the wires for the micro switch. that run was on the same basic tune that monte suggested. a hp only pass at 18 degrees of timming. plus, i guess timming was being pulled out also during the run. i take full responsiblity for throwing OVERALL CHAMP right down the drain on Eddie.

after that happened, the cam got very hungry and we were rebuilding the whole top end several times under moonlight. we went a span of 3 days without sleep.

the engine was running hot and we tried everything we could to get it down but nothing helped. water flow seems to be restricted somewhere.

overall, we changed like 18 lifters. top end came off 5 times. went through 4 batteries, 2 water pumps, we ran out of gas, ran out of time, we were over prepared at first and that got us in trouble.

i'm glad its over.

larson nearly cried out loud during his win speech. its just hard to explain how tough drag week is unless you have done it.

the aussie guys saved our lives last night, one drove eddie's car and i went in one of there cars so we could get some sleep.

pics and story will probably be monday

You guys did great Ray and I don't think you need to take responsibility for loosing the "Overall"

As fast as Eddie's car is he wasn't going to beat Larson this year, could have been closer but if it got too close they would have stepped it up some more

I figured the way he raced back to the line and you guys ripped the hood off it was some issue with the nitrous. Too bad he didn't just make the first run without the hood after the thrash. Time was running out and you had to figure something might go wrong.

It was still fun to watch.

I don't think it got talked about, but after Eddie went the 7.98 at BG, he came back around and went a 7.97. So he DID back up his 7, plus he went 8.02 and 8.04. Obviously valvetrain issues cropped up and caused major issues, but the car was initially pretty fast and consistent on a conservative tune. I still say the tune in the car would likely go low .80s, high .70s with some work and you could really lean on it and go faster, depending on how the chassis responds.

Yall did a great job, glad yall are part of the Mopar gang, yall could not have represented the Mopar camp any better.

I can't wait for the full run down and the pictures.

Yall get it wrapped up and get back home safe and get some rest and then get on here and tell us about it.

Again, great work guys.

Total mileage I heard was a bit under 1100 miles not including detours, auto parts stores etc.
