If my memory is correct the ported 906's for my 440 have the boss under the valve cover turned down to use the (I believe P3690963)stem seals, and I took the heads to a engine guy to install them and the special valve springs for the hydraulic cam. Do the 452 seals seem correct for the turned down boss?

Problem is, my son feels even though the heads have sit idle for 6 or so years (NEVER INSTALLED) he wants to replace the seals while the heads are off using my compressor tool. I feel the seals will be fine, I don't have the tubes to pull one safely w/o cutting the seal o the keeper grooves...

I told him to leave them alone, but on second thought figured asking here to be best to avoid an " I told you so" if they do leak.

Assuming the 452's are the correct if I need to buy a set, would you run them or replace them before putting the heads on this weekend?

Thanks
Allen

After 6 years I think I would go ahead and change them out while you can get to them. They are probably dried out by now.
