I had one years ago, I bought it from Hamburgers performance. It was just a round peice of aluminum that fit the dist. shaft with a set screw in it, In the directions it said to put it on the dist. shaft tight enough for it not to fall off then put the dist. back in the engine and press it down with your hand till it bottoms out then remover the dist and tighten the set screw

You can get a collar with a set screw at your local hardware store, that is where I got mine.

Probably a little more cost, ok a lot more, than the hardware store part, but works a little better also, we manufacture the KB Distributor Thrust assembly Kit. The Part number is 65600 and sells for $32.50. I included a photo of the instruction sheet. Works on the HEMI engines.

hey don if you have a chain u will still have low speed bounce it should go away at about 3000 rpm. Have you seen the guy out at irwindale that lighted his 1969 dart buy using plastic bags. As a floor in the trunk no wonder that thing is so fast

I just use a 1/2" clamp collar. I had the motor apart when I installed it but can easily do it the way described above.

I still use the rubber pipe, just change it once every 6 mths. I'm a bit twitchy about the screw coming loose and falling out.
