It came out of central Florida and was listed as 99% rust free.......bought it out of Hemmings from pictures........seller said it was very drivable and I contemplated flying to Florida and driving it back....Glad I shipped it, the front suspension and brakes were completely worrn out and probably would not have made it 100 miles without some major issues....My image of 99% rust free and the sellers were two different things. On both sides of the dutchman panel where it meets the quarter and the driprails of the trunk was rotted out. Not so bad I guess, but never disclosed in the transaction. In any case, super solid car without factory undercoating.

Added some of the parts that I have gathered and restored over the years. Rechromed rear bumper with restored taillight housings and lenses. Super Stock springs with 8 3/4 with 3.23 gears. Restored ralleye wheels and centers with 15x7 inch small bolts on the rear with BFG Drag Radials. Also added my 10 in flared rear drum brakes and kelsey hayes front disk set up with all new ball joints, 11/16 tie rods and a factory sway bar. Car still sporting the Slant 6 and auto trans at this point. But more to come in the power department.

Nice project and the work looks good. You can post multiple pics in one post which makes it easier. Keep the pics coming. I was disappointed when I got my project as well, bought it based on pictures and phone conversation.

Haven't posted in awhile. 3 young kids makes it hard to make time for the hobby, which is OK. Here's the scoops on the hood. They are ready for paint. I think I may use the original hood from the car instead of this one, hopefully get it in paint before the end of the year.

Got the Pistol Grip in it. I have 1973 bucket seats in it too. They are reskinned and even though they are the wrong year for this car, I like them. Got all the parts for the interior. Need to weld in the bucket seat gussets and then can put the interior back together.

I had this exact car when I was 18.

Exact, as in the same car, or one that looked like it?
Exact as in color/combo as I was in WI, you are in OH and I beat the living crap out of it until it had to be dragged away!
