I've used them several times, no problems. Helps to know exactly what length C to C you need and U joint types...

Do they balance with ujoints and slip yoke installed, or just bare driveshaft? Never had this done before - old driveshaft, just want to make sure it's balanced perfectly

There are at least a couple shops in FTW, too:

Fort Worth Gear & Axle - www.gearandaxle.com
3409 Kelli Ct, Fort Worth - (817) 625-8878

American Drive Train
2519 NE 36th St, Fort Worth - (817) 831-7878

I haven't personally tried either one, but need to have that same job done some time soon.

Can't speak for them but most of us who do balance driveshafts, need the assembled driveshaft in order to do a correct balance. If you attempt to balance just the tube and then add the u-joints and slip yoke, the balance is going to be off because of the added weight.

Typically we don't balance anyones driveshafts except for those who bought our kit. We purchased our own driveshaft making machinery so we could control the quality of driveshafts that we send out with our kits.
Our builder is a little backed up right now with our kits but if you get in a pinch, give me a shout and I'll see if I can work you in the schedule.

theres a great place off of Industrial over there by the federal court building, can't remember the name. Think its called the driveshaft shop but could not find it. Don't use truck magic, there is another place that I took my driveshaft to that TM screwed up that is a truck repair shop on 380 a couple/few miles just east of McKinney and they fixed it up perfectly. I may still have the reciept.
