I was looking at some old stock car pics of front motor plates and some of them had what looked like control arm bushings pressed into them. This would provide a strong yet vibration free mount for those long drives to far away tracks.Any of you racers ever isolate your front motor plate with some kind of bushings?
Thanks
This is my current setup.

I don't like the engine to move for a couple reasons:

-It can shake the exhaust apart. The heating and cooling cycles cause enough issues, that I don't need it banging into somthing else and shaking it apart. The last two vehicles, at least one pipe was close enough to rattle off a frame rail or somthing with a rubber mount. I don't need the leak or the agrivation.

-It really doesn't provide much of a noticible difference. If you have the engine tuned well, and idleing well, it should be fairly smooth. It all depends what your willing to live with for a cam. Its one of the reasons I like EFI so much. It takes that nasty cam and tames it a bit.

-I find its also more consistant on the R/T and ties the frame togather nice for a little extra rigidity.
