I have a 73 cuda and want to get ride of the plastic filler between bumper and body. My question is if I buy the earlier style bumpers and brackets will they fit correctly with valance and body?

I converted my 73 Challenger. The stock front brackets had 2 sets of holes for the rail attachment, just used the 2nd set. I used 72 rear brackets.

Check out this link. You can modify your original front brackets to move the bumper in. That would save you the hastle of buying brackets and bumpers.
