Never tried it on this motor. I went the time in my sig on motor only @ 3000#. Planned on hitting it with an honest 250 shot, never finished the nitrous lines and bottle bracket.

My car is a Duster, the hood overhang from the radaitor support to the front of the hood is very similar, at least on my 1969 Dart GTS I hope you can see the supporting tube bracket welded onto the radiator support holding the front of the middle two Dzuz faterner brackets The paasenger side Dzuz bracket is pop riveted on , The driver sides is bolted on with 1/4 inch bolts, flat washers and nuts I had the hood mounting brackets done so I will redo the passenger side with 1/4 bolts, washers and lock nuts, hopefully this winter

These are the two rear Dzuz brackets mounted onto the cowl , thier bolted in also. The body guy drilled holes under the lip to get his wrench, washers and nuts in to keep them on instead of pop riviting them in IHTHs

I think one of the factors on lifting the front of hoods up is the amount of pressure coming in from the grill area, I'm going to block the top of the grill off all the way from fender to fender and all the way from the grill up to the radiator support and up to the bottom of the hood to make all the air go through the radiator or out the bottom of the grill area behind the bumper
