Excellant work! Could you tell what you did to these parts to get them to look like this? What finishes and products you are using?
Thanks

The bare steel look I use on most of these parts is an epoxy based aerosol from rust oleum. It is their appliance line stainless steel. Most of the semi gloss black is either dupli color satin black enamel or SEM trim black. All of the metal parts get disassembled and bead blasted individually. I take a lot of pictures. Thanks for the compliment.

Jeezuss this thread got hijacked majorly! I think each piece is turning out amazing. I was going to ask your tip on the silver parts so glad you mentioned that. I wonder if everyone commenting on color would rather see 1 more car rot to the ground rather than be painted a different color. I think it should be about loving old cars and getting them back on the road.

Still a slow go on bodywork, but I should be wrapping up the dash resto soon. I'll get those pictures up as soon as it is done. Turning out awesome though

Two big things to update.
1) I recently saw an older aricle on MCG of a one owner A4 silver 69 Hemi bee, long story short....All of you guys begging me to keep it A4 over black can stop now.....Its going back in A4.
Most importantly though, 2) Body man has had the car for over a year now and has done maybe 12 hours of work to the car. I have had an offer to bring the car to a different shop that WILL get the car done this year. At this rate, the current guy will get the car done by the time I retire on 2040. Im gonna have a long talk with the current body man this upcoming week about what it will take for him to honor the agreement we made to get the body and paint done in 18 months. If he cant satisfy my concearns, its getting yanked and he is gonna owe me big on my down pament for the metal work. Im super frusterated with the lack of progress.
Anyways, its going back A4 regardless of who finishes the car.

It'll look cool either way. I was with you on the black. A-4 looked too green to me. The '68 buffed silver was cool, though! Hope you get your body shop woes straightened out. Seems that even ones that do a good job on other peoples stuff can't be trusted to treat everyone the same. Pretty sad.
