where do you guys get the lightweight springs for fiberglass hoods>? some say they don't use the springs but i would like the hood to be able to stay up Once I have opened it...its for a 71-74 bbody...

You can get them thru AAR Quality Fiberglass out of Florida. Just google them for their phone #.

I'll give them a call - I didn't know they sold springs as well - I did somemore reading and I read that one guy uses trampoline springs for his, maybe an option...

Also US Bodysource, VFN Fiberglass, and Unlimited Products offer light weight springs for bolt on fiberglass springs

late model cars like a daytona use a spring that will work.

I use those on the truck lid, and Glasstek lightweight springs on the hood.

Easily done with some modification to the hinges.You just need to make sure and get the right stiffness.
