"Buy Plymouth Barracuda Electric Supercharger Bolt-On Kit
This supercharger is a two door car that was manufactured by the Plymouth division of Chrysler Corporation from 1964 through to 1974.The first generation Barracuda supercharging fastback A-body coupe based on the Plymouth Valiant had distinctive wraparound back glass and was available up to 1966 from 1964. The second Barracuda even though was just like the Valiant it had superchargers and was available in fastback, notchback and convertible versions. The bolt on supercharger 1970-1974E-body Barracuda, no longer had a valiant feature instead it was available as a coupe and a convertible both which were different from the previous makes and models. The electric supercharger E-body Barracuda was available and was able to shake off the stigma of economy car from 1970 to 1974 and three versions were offered into the market; the base Barracuda, the luxury oriented Gran Coupe and the sport model the ‘Cuda. The high performance models were derived from the 1969 option and were marketed as the ‘Cuda. The engine produced 190 horsepower that is equal to 140 kilo watt and produced a speed of admirable quantity not forgetting the torque."
Who the hell writes crap like that??? Is there a parallel mopar universe that nobody told me about???
Wikipedia does, just add a few words in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plymouth_Barracuda

Actually it's a well known secret that hamster poop is a chemical octane booster- at a certain temperature the water molecules break down in a form of cold fission creating free extra horsepower and torque. With hamster poop you can run 10-25 lbs of boost in a zero deck closed chamber head setup with 40-50 degrees of mechanical timing!
and it tastes great too.

We tried one and it worked awesome!......
On a 24hp Briggs & Stratton in a golf cart. We put a micro-switchon the throttle linkage - to a relay - to the blower. Well it DID work awesome until we hit too large of a bump and something happened to break the impellers and the engine ingested it at WOT. The throttle was hung open (woo hoo!!! Prolly 30 hp of unbridled fury!!!) and the plastic blades got melted onto the exhaust valve and it had no compression. Bummer!! We were having fun riding wheelies with two of us in the golf cart.
It DID make a huge difference on that little tiny engine - while it lasted. Too bad we broke it so far from camp.
On my Mopar? I doubt it would even notice.
I gotta say it..........Dude , I like your style. Re ; Mad Max ...We have a local who has used a 6:71 with an air conditioner condenser clutch and for the most part , it worked. I have no idea how hard he turned it , but that thing used to really haul the mail. He was a fixture on the street scene back in the 80's and last summer I saw him with the same car and same set up at a local cruise night. It is a 72 Challenger and I wish I would have had my camera when I saw him again. It looks fairly crude........air box with a trap door and a blow through carb , blower sits at an angle and the plumbing sticks out of the side of the scoop , but it is home made and as I recall , was put together with junk yard parts and freebies. I never thumb my nose at good old fashioned American ingenuity. As for the electric supercharger , I don't think the thumb fully conveys my feelings......I do have another digit that works pretty well for these moments.
