I was wondering if the nv4500 trans would be in a 1999 ram 4x4 5.2 liter. If not what trans is it. Is it a pretty stout trans. I have an automatic ram rite now and have a chance to buy a 5-speed truck.I always wanted a truck with stick.

There was an NV3500 in the 1500 and light duty 2500 Rams. I have an NV4500 in my 99 3500 Cummins, it is the 3rd trans I have put in it since is was new, there is an issue with a fifth gear nut that comes loose and ruins the trans. The last couple had the "fix" in them but they still broke.

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.
