I finally replaced my 727 selector shaft seal with the help of this board. I put together this info that might help someone in the future.

I think that's the seal # I used too. For the archives, the NAPA seal part (Chicago Rawhide is the brand) has a slightly different design that will not work with that seal removal tool (which threads into the metal part of the seal). I returned that, and got the National part # which is the same design as original and will work with the seal removal tool.

A small screwdriver works on any of them, and the proper size deep socket will work with the c clamp.
