I want to put a new Sony in-dash unit in the old caravan. If you installed or had someone install a new unit in your van, was there any problems? I am having an audio shop up the road do it for me on Saturday. They had to order a special harness for the hook-up for the speakers so everything should be cool.

I did it years ago and with a Sony CD play too and it was a plug and play, in fact one of the easiest install I had done up to that point. The adapter plug lead or "pigtail" makes it real simple and there was an adapter plate and support with the kit too. Shouldn't take them very long to do.

The 97 should still have the black and gray common mopar radio connectors that had been the same layout for a couple of decades.
