Brandon Fugler's 69 Camero 4.48 @ 169
3100 lbs
Leaf springs
No anti roll bar
Naiser built 622
Mfi on alcohol/Procharger
315 radials without beadlocks

now, where are the guys that say you must have lots of front suspension travel for a Caltrack car to work!

Front left tire never touches the track

Nope.... But remember why camaros have an advantage when it comes to leaf springs.... Front leaf segment is 5" longer

5" inches is a huge leverage advantage, sometimes ladder bars sound tempting, especialy the fact they work with wheelie bars.

you put enough controllable HP to any kind of suspension you can go fast. I think the F.A.S.T. cars have proved that.

Is there any rule that says a mopar cant put in a longer leaf spring?

the shorter leaf was an advantage back in the day

Here I am.......When guys say they need a lot of travel to work, they're talking about the typical car out at the track that doesn't have near that kind of power and I'm sure is heavier in the front than that car (no radiator)........ plus, I'm certain, track conditions were really good when he ran that number.........If he were running on the typical weekend bracket race track he'd need more travel to get it off the starting line too.......

Like mentioned, there are FAST cars going 9's now without Caltracs......

If you can't handle the truth, you're living a lie.......

While technically that is a "leaf spring" car, it's far from a stock suspention. As mentioned the FAST guys are in the 9's w/ SS Springs.
