This was posted in the General Section Hey Stu, we are producing the most popular car-show on TV in Germany named GRIP. Our host and racedriver Matthias will be in California for the presentation of the new Mercedes C63 AMG Coupé Black Series (517 hp), that will take place at the Laguna Seca Raceway on Saturday, november 19th. We would like to film a race between this German V8 musclecar and an American musclecar. We did a similar race some month ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcUL9GTOvK8What do you think? Do you or your friends have a car that could beat this new Mercedes? Anyway – it will be fun. Give me a call or send me an email if you are interested. Yours Thomas Pospiech Time is short. You need 520+ at the back wheels to do it. Stock-appearing cars: anyone willing to step up to the plate?

I finally watched the video. That mustang was a road race car, not a drag car. The German car only went 93 in the 1/8th. There isn't hardly a FAST car out there that wouldn't humiliate it. Almost any car in moparts would woop it.

Wow 93 MPH in the 1/8 mile. What a machine! 12 minutes of my life I'll never get back...

Fast forward to 10 minutes.
I thought it was funny hearing that you need 521 hp at the wheels

What a dumb statement from someone who should know better, 420 at the wheels in a light car will drive past that thing like it's parked. That Benz is likely no light weight!

Even more fun when I pull up next to someone at 60mph and stand on it. It leaves two black tracks as I go by. Dave
