I am restoring my heaterbox (69 b-body w/ AC). after disassembly I noticed the largest gauge wire on the blower motor resistor was broke right near one of the connector points (at the 90 degree bend point). Otherwise the piece in in good shape. Any way I can save this (bridging it and soldering)?

Am i correct in that the only way to find one of these is to stumble upon it via a for sale ad or ebay?

part number on the resistor is 2837813.

thought this would be a cheap overhaul and now i likely am in for the cost of a new heater core as well as trying to find a resistor....it's always something.

Thanks in advance.

I would go ahead and solder it back together . . . or if you can uncrimp the one end with the blade on it, then put the other end into the uncrimped end and recrimp and solder (just to be sure) . . .
