Shorter shift linkage bracket needed for 727, along with the shorter driveshaft. Different dust cover too. Need donor bracket from 727 vehicle. The mount is the same.

Facts are stubborn things.

converter...and check flexplate too..

flexplate might have different bolt circle for larger 727 converter...

flexplate is the same, if you are switching from 904 behind a 360 then the converter will be weighted for external balance and you will need to get appropriate weighted converter for 727. Driveshaft is approx 7" shorter on 727. Dipstick is different. Linkages are probably different unless using aftermarket shifter.

727 converter is different transmission input sizing. You will need a weighted converter for if going to a 360 (compensating B&M flex plate) or a non weighted converter if going to a 318.You will need a different front yoke for the drive shaft and the drive shaft is approximately 4 inches shorter for the 727 rather than 7 inches as stated above. Been down this road many times.

There's a difference in the kickdown linkage but sometimes 904 one can be made to work.
Dipstick is the same, dipstick tube is different.
