Assuming he cuts them back farther, How do you weld it up where the 2 tubes are close to each other? Doesn't seem theres any room.....

Take care,

Can you measure from the center of the down tube to the edge of the horizontal tube? You would want a radius slightly smaller than that radius. It also looks like you need more than a 90 degree bend, so a U-bend would be needed.

Probably have to cut that tube out of the head flange and weld it back in - from the head side - after the rest of the tube is finished.

I would consider cutting the # 1 and 2 hole pipes ( 2 hole is up against the strut rod anyway ) and rotating them down just enough to give you clearance below the down bars for the 3 and 4 pipes. It would be a cleaner setup in the end and you won't have to deal with the slip-fit thing. Did I mention how much better you will be at welding thinwall tubing when you are done?

was thinking more like this:

ok my paint skills are entierly useless but the thought was to use a bigger radiusbend to be able to get the pipe under the forwardbars and still stay above the #1 tube,at the cost of correct lenght but it will flow better than a tighterradiusbend anyway so i dont think it would cost any performance.
you may not need to cut the pipe back as much as in the drawing but it gives you an idea.
im useless at explaining things like this and pretty crapy at making stuff in paint but im not all that useless at bending, routing and welding tubing i hope at least
