anyone know of a rattle can paint option that faithfully reproduces the black paint used on the accessories panel (headlights, dimmer, wiper, washer on a non-ralley dash), center A/C vent bezel and side A/C vent bodies for a 69 b-body? Not sure if all those are pot metal, but the paint on all is pretty unique and not sure if that it due to the paint or the underlying metal?

I just used semi gloss rustoleum black and an ultra fine white paint marker for the lettering. Looks great and I think it is correct though that doesn't really matter much to me.

I used SEM satin black Trim Paint on my A/C vents on my '68 road runner..............my dash was green so it didn't have to match anything...and it looked pretty good if I do say so myself

Oh and I think someone makes a "flat" Trim Paint that looks like the flat (egg shell) dash finish like what Bill is showing above but it doesn't have the "egg shell" grain, maybe take a sponge dip it in some paint and splatter it on first let it dry and then hit it with some flat paint

OK. got it for the vents, but is the accessory panel suede (textured) as well? also is it flat? picture of panel attached..... last point are the accessory switch openings outlined in white as well originally or is only white for lettering?

see that rustoelum has a textured black that is claimed to produce a suede type finish and was going to use it on the side/center vents, but wanted to confirm its appropriateness for use for the accessory panel.

Thanks

I've never seen the switch openings outlined in white, at least not on a '68 road runner or '69 rr or GTX....but maybe that's just me

also the correct panel for 1969 will have the texture already cast into it.
