I heard 71 jack post and base had a square hole? Does anyone have a pic of the base hole? Thankyou I also need the base if you have one.

According to the parts book, the 70-71 A & B bodies (except 70 Charger) all use the same post and base. If you know what any of them have then the 71 Demon is the same. If not, there is a 70 Swinger with the original jack I could go take a look at/take picture if you want.

thank you. Since my post did not fit the base, the post seams squarer, I will assume the post is correct. I need a base. The pic shows my current base, has a "RH" stamped in it.

this is out of a 71 demon, jack date code on rivet is 1C (march 1971) correct 1157 hook, unrestored.

Here are 4 pics of original jack from a 70 Swinger 340, which is the same as 71 Demon according to parts book (car also has original spare). The base opening is 1-1/4 large end, 5/8 to 3/4 small end (hard to measure due to shape), 1-3/8 long. This may help you to tell if your base is correct. Anybody know what the stamping "U70" is? Date code?

This is a picture of the jack assembly out of my 71 Demon 340. Car is mostly original and unrestored. I'm the second owner.



I have no idea why the jack hook is red. It shows no signs of ever being any other color. I have two 71 Dusters and those hooks are not red.

Is that jack hook hemi orange to match the car? What color is that?

Definately NOT Hemi Orange, just plain old red, not sure what the code for it would be, pretty similar to Chrysler Engine Red
