Ok, more dumb questions...
I have been researching the E-body trunk light. I think I know where it goes and how it works (mercury switch).
My question is did that light have a lens, or was it just a socket screwed inside a square cut hole in the trunk lid?
The hole looks like they cut it with a hand saw and the bracket mount screw holes look kind of random.
Anyone know?

Mine does not have a mercury switch. Only comes on with the dome light and map light. Craig
