time for an update, sorry for the delay the alternator dumped its guts on Thursday night.
ran the car yesterday afternoon but was a little suprised with how much jetting it wanted.
prior to running i had #79 outer,#62 centre
at cruise and even with a full pull only on the centre carb the #62 was good AFR
with outer's it was lean still, went to #85 and it picked up but needed more.ran out of time and will go to #89.played with timing, liked its 25 initial to give about 38 total.
it has a K&N filter but made 4-5 extra HP with the cleaner off.
is there a taller,4" K&N,or do you just stack 2 of them ?
we did check vacuum from under the centre carb, did not go positive with the 3 carbs operating.
it does seem a little softer on secondary opening with the extra jetting.
i have not had much to do with tri carbs before,do you see anything wrong with my direction.
Cab,fuel system has a Carter 90 electric pump at rear and Carter hi perf mechanical pump.8psi at idle,6 1/2 psi under full load.not my choice but will have to see how it goes on the strip.
car certainly gets up and boogies when you open it up on the street.
HP gain is in line with what i aimed for, another 5hp would be nice
Ron,Greg says thanks for the comment
