Working with Yates is like working with Bob Glidden. It won't end well, and at least Glidden will make you fast.
Yates always bought his fast. When he ran low on money, he ran low on fast.

mistake from my perspective. Just wait till they start losing engines to bad tune-up calls. doesn't know the difference between detonation, rich or lean.

I think its great!!!!! Like someone said,"ANY help is better than NO help!!!!!
Do you think it will lead to Jim Yates driving an extra car next yr??
his help they can do with out, as for him in a second car , god hope not as the above post said, he bought his chassie set ups, serioisly doubt that he knows much other than the driving aspect, even his motor program went away as he could keep up after he and maskins parted ways, other than the motors that where previously built if he was that good he would be driving a pro car again, he wouldn't be looking for handout jobs, sorry, just don't believe he is any cause of there increase in the this new car. have yet to see this new chassie do anything different from the older chassie until they find the guy who knows how, they will still be sub par , all ways searching , mid pac standing , mediocor runs whats really amazing is ,all these chassies are really close to each other, surprized its hard to find a guy that doesn't know how to set them up get them down track,

I don't think so...Yates is strictly there for chassis help,as he always ran Haas cars for most of his career.
