After driving my car around alittle bit and tuning I have officially decided that the 1.05 A/R I have now is way too much and super laggy. I found this turbo on the bay'and thought it might be alittle more responsive. The only thing I'm worried about is the compressor side, it seems kinda small. What do you guys think? It's a stock 318 btw....

This will have to come after I replace the trans....stock 904's don't like 10lbs of boost This is the turbo I'm looking at .68 a/r

how much cheaper was that china ebay turbo than just buying a MP70 in the first place with the right housing? Maybe $200? I would have gone that route in your shoes probably, and would still consider it. They do come up used on tmf sometimes.

Cheapest MP70 is $619. That was not in my budget when I first started and still isn't right now. The one I posted with the .68 housing is in my budget so I was just wondering if it would be ok on the compressor side. It's not that I'm cheap I just don't have the cash to spend on something like that right now

Have you priced a turbine housing?
You should be able to swap it for a tighter unit and get the results you want.
My original turbine housings were Turbonetics T3 Stage 3 with .68 A/R. They were so tight the engine couldn't pull more than 4900 rpm on the dyno. I stepped up to Stage 3 .96 A/R turbine housings and kept the same Stage 3 wheels. I have been happy ever since.

So your saying I can just find a T4 housing with a lower A/R and swap just the housing and not the wheel?

Yes, but not any old housing, it needs to match the wheel. All the 'real' turbos generally have several housings that will fit each wheel, I have no idea on the china ebay stuff.

I think with a 360 the 1.05 might be alright. I just don't think I've got enough motor. I have decided to wait until I get my trans fixed before I make a judgment call on the turbo. My 1-2 shift is so bad now that its annoying to drive. I've got some parts on the way though to fix it...
