As most of you know,I took the 64 to Cedar Falls Raceway saturday. I haven't driven it for over two months and came very close to selling it. The place was packed as it was 2k to win saturday and 5k to win sunday. There were some pretty heavy hitters there! Looking back in the log book,I only picked up a tenth going from 3500' corrected altitude to 1120 corrected altitude. I know my timing is off...I should have picked up a little more than that..I did manage new bests of 1.385 60',6.56 18th and 103.95 mph. I got put on the trailer second round as I took a nap at the starting line. That was my own fault,I knew I was in trouble when the car I was paired with left almost when I did! He was dialed 6.23 and I was dialed 6.57. His light was an .026 compared to my .268! I ran 6.577 but he took an easy win! I had a great time and may go out once more if I can figure out my starter issues..Also did my good deed for the day. We walked to the concession stand and I found a nice tranny brake button with a cord..So I had one of the track guys call the tower and put out an announcement that I found it. Little while later a gal comes by and says her husband was going nuts because one of the kids lost it off the golf cart! It always pays to be honest!

As for the late light I have that problem too .140
or early -101 but we'll find a happy medium soon

A coworker/friend won the 5K yesterday.

Nice to hear Ted! I looked for ya last Sunday at the Mopar Max deal. Been last year since I went, ran my 06 Charger, could not cut a light with that! Could not get used to the drive by wire, only got one time trial and never ran it before. I am going to try and make one more time myself. Good luck!

Mike Campbell won it all on Sunday. Blue and White dragster. Extremely clean digger. I guess they agreed to spilt before the final. Changed the 5K win 2K RU to 4K win 3K RU. He was happy this morning.

Good to hear Ted, you had me a little worried for a while,,sometimes a guy needs a little break and walk away from it, works for me.

Glad to see you are using the iron. DON'T SELL IT. .15-.25 cents on the dollar. KEEP IT, get over the hump, and then ENJOY it. Hey, am I talking to you, or me? lol. Ted, good to see you raced it. Kudo's for turning in that switch. Probably made that guy's day.

Yupp...Glad I didn't sell it. The best thing I ever did was to just walk away for a while. Jeff..In S/P there was more pipe racks than door cars!! Never saw that many there before! Congrats to your buddy...They had to go a lot of rounds and competition was tough! I felt good about getting that guy his tranny brake switch back. Money is tight to lose anything! Raff...I think I could use a little more jet,but with only two time trials there isn't any time to mess with it. There is a 2K coming up on the 15th and I may sneak the beater out yet one more time!! Sure would like to see a certain yellow Dart with orange bumpers from Mn. come down!
