Is it true that running your plug wires parallel to each other for any length is bad for the conductivity? I I don't want any firing issues or spark leaks.
First part, no, not with todays high quality double insulated spark plug wires On second part put the new wires on and run the motor at night in a dark place and open the hood, when you see spark starting to form a auro(SP?)or illuminate, around the wires or wire holders replace the wires
couple years ago, after i just put new msd wires on my car, someone here made a post that their new msd wires were arching so i went out to the garage, started the car, turned the lights out and sure enough mine were too. not wire to wire but wire to dipstick tube, valve cover, whatever

That was probably me, Wet racing conditions and running mostly @ night proved to look like July 4th with 2 new MSD wire sets, Mostly plug wire to engine ground, We ran fuel hose over the wires to cut down on arcing and raised the wires off the engine, It helped a lot,

Lee, just ask here.. They will say. Butttttt. The Top Fuel guys have zero problems wire zipping all 18 Firecore50 s together. You have zero chance of cross-firing with your combo.

The wire is not actually running parallel. The physical insulation cord, if you will is. Modern spark plug wires have a core, then the wire is coiled around it. I think this is commonly called spriral core. Then there is a large layer of insulation. So really the wires are not like two solid conducters running in parallel which would cause EMF(Electro-motive-force).
We deal with it all the time on the job. Even with extremely low voltage. A simple 360 degree twist of the pair of conducters every foot minimizes the effects of EMF. Kinda like the old 300 ohm flat tv antenna wire.
