Hello, I have a customers car and it has a white vinyl interior and it is dirty. I tryed 409 cleaner but it didn';t clean it. What is a good deep cleaner to bring back the "White" color so it doesn't look so dirty?

I always used Whestleys bleach white and a bristle brush with excellant results

Try using Meguiar's Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner. I bought some after getting caught in a rain/windstorm at a gas station one year at Carlisle. The wind/rain blew dirt & grease from the tops of the gas pumps all over my white vinyl top. It was literally disgusting. I went back to the fairgrounds & bought some along with a bristle brush. It worked awesome on white!

You could also try Spray Nine. That also works great!

As funny as it sounds, try the Mr. Clean magic eraser.

Spray 9 worked the best for me on vinyl interior

Spray Nine, Liquid Zud and Magic Eraser are the ones I used with success

Comet and a green scotchbrite pad works the best for me for the toughest stains in my white interior. If it's just regular dirt the mr clean magic erasers do okay but for the deep down aged in filth I have better results with comet.

Well, I bougt some of the Meguiar's Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner, I didn't think it was going to work at first, but I found that if I sprayed the seat and scrubbed it with a soft brush that it works pretty good.

I was frustrated with a 35 year old vinyl roof with a grain. Tried everything.
What worked for me:
1. SOAK w/vinyl cleaner (Tutle Wax, Meguiers,etc)
2. Rub in cleaner with Mr. Clean Magic Sponge
3. Get into smallest pores with 0000 steel wool lightly
4. Rinse w/clean water and very little detergent.

I do not not know if you can see the difference in the pic but it is dramatic in person.

I've used hand soap like the permatex brand in the past to clean white interiors. I spent 12 years working in a detail shop. I figure if it's safe enough to use on your hands then it's safe enough for vinyl seats.

a detailer i knew would use ATF on the nastiest vinyl roofs then buff it out---dont know it would try that on the insides of a car though---bob

We picked up a 73 Charger years ago that had a filthy white vinyl interior. I pulled the buckets out and my wife got out the Simple Green with a soft brush and it worked very well. If the Magic Eraser would have been around back then I would have probably tried that too but the SG did the job and the seats and panels looked like new when done.
