I am thinking of replacing the stock radiator with a newer (60's or 70's) to help keep the 360 cooler. The stock one has a zero to 4 psi cap, so it doesn't take much on a 90 degree day to get it cookin. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

One of the more inexpensive swaps is to use a mid 60s, 289-302 factory (OEM) Mustang radiator. You can go to any NAPA store and get them for $140 or so. The other option is an aluminum aftermarket radiator. At least there are cheaper models being made now for vertical flow radiators (like your stock unit). For many years the only inexpensine aluminum radiaots were for cross-flow systems.

Champion Radiators now makes an Aluminum Radiator just for these trucks. My dad provided them with the stock '40 radiator that they patterned it after.

Brent Landess with Kool Radiators distributes them. I'm not sure of the price.

Not sure what clipped means. I need a radiator about 19 inches wide. I believe the V8 A body radiator is 22 inches wide. Thanks for the ideas though.

I think the special "dartsportsteve" radiators are $350 on the 'bay per the next poster.
Looks like a decent way to go.

cheapest aluminum are the generic sold by speedway---they are a crossflow but my hotrod pals stand them up and use a hose filler coupling---speedway is the biggest circletrack supplier and those guys crunch radiators all the time---bob
