I have the top frame, to my 67 coronet vert, apart for paint.. Both of the side pieces ( the folding apparatus) are very tight and difficult to operate by hand.. Bead blasting and painting right now, so I do not want to spray any lube into the joints and hinge areas..

My question is should these work very easily?? And if they should any help out there with lubing these or making them work again?? Thanks

I've done quite a few, they are somewhat tight until you spay some penatrating lube in them...Obviously wait till they have been painted or powdercoated then a little lube & all will be good...

bolt it to the body so it's well supported, then push rearward on the pivot point by the rear window while lifting at the front...If you just lift it will bind...
