I contacted ronp and he sold those already. I am actually very undecided on what to do. I do plan to do something to raise compression be it use std. Pistons, have it bored, or smaller chambered heads. I may still just use a ridge reamer as I don't want to spend much. This is an 1500 dollar truck that's just gonna get abused severely.

How many miles on that block? Do you have the skill to use the ridge reamer properly ? I had a 440 that someone took a ridge reamer to , had to sleeve one hole because it had to be bored .075 over to clean up the mess. even after you remove the ridge you might still have a step , I have a low mile rebuilt 440 here that was rehoned , it has a 1/4 moon shaped spot on the thrust side on I think all cylinders that the hone didn't touch. If i changed it to taller pistons I'm sure it would be breaking rings.

You don't need pistons to beat the hell out of a $1500 truck.
I went 12 flat with a 77 440 and a .528 cam in a 3650# 64 dodge.
Its all in the tune up, not pistons.
