Anyone know if the shifter cables for the '65 only 727 trannys were different lengths for column shift and floor shift cars. I've been told they were from one guy, but wanted to be sure before I go shopping.

Thanks!

I have a complete shifter assembly out of a 65 coronet floor shift car. shifter, console and all.

Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

Yes, Column shift and floor shift cables are different lengths in 1965. Column shift cables are shorter than the console shift cables. The console cables have to go forward and make a big loop up through the floor and underneath the console. On a side note 65 C-body cars with consoles like Plymouth Sport Fury, Dodge Polara and Monaco 500 and Chrysler 300 use console cables that are pretty close in length to b-body console cables, and could be used if you don't run across any b-body cables.

Hope some of this helps.

Thanks Bill,
I totally forgot about Imperial. They have what I need. Hopefully I'll get this thing on the road soon! And thanks for the pics John.
