percys dead soft aluminum are what I use. I havent tried copper, but I havent heard anything in particular that makes me think they arent as good. Copper probably works fine also. Ive heard a couple people theorize that the dead soft aluminum might conform to surface irregularities a little better than copper....but again I havent tried.

They are both better options than paper, and the only reason I went with these aluminum gaskets is because autozone had em in stock!

No complaints. I have em on and off and on and off all the time. They still seal perfectly fine.

I agree on the Remflex gaskets. They are awesome! I'm talking about the header gaskets, not collector's in all fairness though. Blew out several gaskets before Moparts turned me on to Remflex. I am a happy camper now

We use Mr Gasket Ultras on the heads. On the collectors we use Summits coppers.Mine have been on 6 years and no leaks.I had coppers on the heads even with my TTIs they leaked like a sieve. My kid ran the Ultras on his collectors and they lasted 4 years and were off probally 10 times before they leaked.Rocky

I use the mr gasket paper ones with no issues on my daily beater. The only drawback is after a few years they crack apart if you try to remove them. New ones are dirt cheap so no big deal.

For the ultimate sealing use copper gaskets with copper rtv on both sides. All you have to do is wire brush the old rtv off the gasket and apply new if you take them out for any reason.

I tried copper gaskets dry once and they would not crush into shape whatsoever. If I would have pushed the issue I'm sure I would have broke a header bolt or stripped the bolt hole in the head before the gasket yeilded. My brother discovered that adding a little copper rtv to copper gaskets makes them seal up great.

High temp RTV only. Works great.

My best luck was with exhaust donuts clamped between the header and collector. They are available in many sizes. Use the fiber ones not the metal pictured. Never replace or had a leak since.
