I was considering these headers on Ebay for a tight fit custon project. Has anybody tried them? Seems like a good price.

I have hedman shorties on mine. Got them from summit. I like them.

Will the center dumps work for your project?

I'm not sure if they're the same ones spaceman is talkin' about but hedman has a shorty pair where the dump angles back......

I think the center dumps will work. The drivers side will be the challenge. The Ebay headers are stainless steel with thick motor flanges and 1 3/4" tubes. The reducers are bent to face the rear. I was just wondering if anybody ever tried this no name brand? Thanks for the tip on the Hedmans

I haven't used either. If they don't kill you with shipping, the price isn't bad, especially compared to the hedmans (which aren't stainless).

Give 'em a shot and report back.

These look as if they may fit the 72 and up Trucks. I'll be interested to hear if anyone has these in a truck or 4wd rig.

A friend of mine has a set of those and he had to do some pretty deep dimpling on one end tube on each side to clear the plug boots.

I've got my eye on that same set of headers! Excellent price for a stainless piece.

Would a different angle plug boot have helped the clearance issue to any degree?

What about the heddmans mentioned earlier? Any plug clearance issues with those(Im looking at those also).

I have them but I haven't installed them yet. I got mine bare casting and had them Jet Hot Coated by Embee. Hopefully I'll be putting the heads and Hedman's on soon. I have had them for 2 years and haven't done squat yet. Here they are mounted to my E-Heads on a 505 Dual Quad.

I have those e-bay headers on my 57 truck. The only thing that i had to do was grind a lug on the side of the block. While my plug boots are close, i haven't burned any yet. I used 90 degree boots for clearence.I like the fact that the flanges are half inch. The collectors rotate for the angle that you need.

I looked at Schumakers header but not for $700-$900. Besides I set the motor back quite a ways so it is a custom fit.

The frame on my 57 is from an 88 Dak, that lower control arm is one reason that i went with block huggers.Randy

I have never used them, but they look great.

I wonder how they will help or hinder performance?
