The STANDARD (& ONLY) tire available on a '70 HEMI 'Cuda is Goodyear Polyglas GT F60-15 w/RWL.
* early in the model year there was a "no size" version, it appears these were "used-up" before December '69

The STANDARD tire available on a '70 (340, 383, 440, 440+6) 'Cuda is Goodyear Polyglas F70-14 w/RWL.

An OPTIONAL tire available at NO COST on a '70 (340, 383, 440, 440+6) 'Cuda is Goodyear Polyglas F70-14 "white stripe".

An OPTIONAL tire available at $47.95 on a '70 (340, 383, 440, 440+6) 'Cuda is Goodyear Polyglas GT E60-15 w/RWL.

The F70-14 & F60-15 are the only Polglas w/RWLs that I've seen in the "no size" version. Both were used during the '69 model year on various manufacturer's cars. I know of NO other RWL Polyglas sizes used in '69.

With all of the "new for '70" RWL tire sizes, some were late getting in the game. One that was NOT available at the beginning of the '70 model year is the H70-15 w/RWL that was advertised as STANDARD on the '70 Sport Fury GT, early cars were delivered with H70-15 "white stripe" tires (yet the b'cast sheets show "U75" for RWL).

The earliest E60-15 b'cast sheets I have are all from the first week of October '69. I'm sure there are some earlier, but by how much? Who has a 15" tired (non-HEMI) e-body built in August or September of '69?

thanx for the great answers-this would have been my next question-i believe there were no e60 15 tires till about dec 69 at earliest. i believe my nov built 440-6 cuda came with 14 inch wheels and f70 14 tires. i don`t have a buildsheet but i have a photo of about 1980 with body colored wheels with dogdish caps but how can i tell from the pics if they were 14 or 15 inch wheels-is there a way of telling if it had a spacesaver or fullsize rim as a spare-i don`t have either-is there any difference in the lockdown bolt? the car is also a four wheel drum brake car.
i think i better start looking for some date coded 14 inch wheels
all the best
frank

There are a few things that you can look at to help narrow down the original rims/tires for a car. 1)door jamb sticker 2) look for red paint residue on the rear drums 3) does it have lower control arm bumper spacers? 4) length of spare tire hold down rod.

thanx for that info-i`m always learning something new-the length of hold down rod and bumper spacers-didn`t know about those-i`ll look at my parts book and see if i can work it out-i could always compare it to my 71 which definitely is a 15 inch wheeled car with spacesaver.
thanx again
frank.

thanx for the pic of the window sticker-t think i can nail it down now that i have these answers. my vin is 192322 so it`s only a few numbers after your 340 cuda. i`d say they both came with f70 14 tires but mine were on steel body colored rims.
thanx again
frank.

I'm assuming that the 340 was a "no cost" option instead of the 383??

In a '70 'Cuda - yes, the 340 was N/C. In '71 it was a $44.35 OPTION.
