The '426 Hemi' emblems were used in the first part of the production run. I don't know when they changed or if it was assembly plant specific. The SPD on my St. Louis '67 is January 12 and it has the later 'Hemi' emblem.

Correct, some early cars had the 1966 style "426 Hemi" emblems, and it wasn't a first half/second half deal, it was only EARLY cars, although no specific cutoff date is known. I've owned 2 originals, SPD on one was November 12, 1966, and one was October 02, 1966, both had "HEMI" fender emblems and both were St. Louis cars.

I agree, the 426 Hemi emblem was only used on very early production '67's. Most had the HEMI tag on the fender. My GTX was built 09-13-66, so it has the 426 hemi tags. Also, note that the position of the badges is different on the left side of the car vs. the right side, apparently to to create a balanced look with the pentastar vs. no pentastar.
