Nice tatt, Gary. Tastefully done. I like the Diamond plate idea.. After I get my "back piece" finished, I wanna get something with Mopar significance.. I was thinking of the Blue "M" or a Plymouth R.I.P Haven't really started drawing anything yet..

You're a wild man Gary!!

Just what John Q. Public needs............ the "Man" with an attitude!!

Are you guys gonna be wearing regulation issue patrolman shirts with torn off sleeves??

I already feel safer to roam the streets after dark.

I like it. I recognized the shape/diamond plate after a 2nd glance and figured that had to be your badge number then.

I have plenty of ink and from my point of view, the 180 looks dicked up. I really like the tribal though even though I wasn't quite sure what the center was supposed to be.

I would post mine but they are not politacally correct. Basically from my young and stupid days.

Still, looks good overall.

Its a little scabbed over right now. It actually looks pretty good but I may have him thicken up the number a bit. I picked the lettering style from a book but its exclusively my design but he helped me with the tribal design a bit.

Dean, no torn sleeves but that would be cool! LOL

Gary, That's too cool!

Member khal440 is an inkslinger, and over the past few months has become a very good buddy of mine.

Owns two awesome Mopars, a '71 440 Challenger and his daily driver project. Over the past 6 months we've had been putting a PISSED OFF little 318, Fresh 904, etc. in a '72 Swinger for his daily driver, so he can get rid of the 5.0 Mustang

Khal does some amazing work. I got Lita set up with a tattoo for her birthday to cover up one she got when she was 16. Khal is THE GUY to go to for Motorhead artwork and traditional Japanese stuff like fish in our area.

He's also not afraid to pull a set of swirl port heads in the rain.

He's working with her on her Japanese Goldfish, and I've given him a bunch of ideas for my upper back and upper sleeves that are Mopar/Gearhead related. He totally understands the look i'm going for, and will do a killer job, for sure! I'll post pics one of these days.

So if anyone in Northern CA needs ink, or just wants to meet a cool MoParts Member, He does great work and is a very cool Mopar guy. He can be found at Evolution Tattoo & Piercing on Santa Rosa Ave.

if I saw a guy walking around with that, I'd probably stop him for questioning...

I had actually been contemplating getting something with my badge number (713) inked as well. I already have a Coast Guard tat.

BTW-Gary(and other cops here) I'm going up to Police Week on Thursday(without the Fury tho )-y'all want any name rubbings or anything?

Kevin, I didnt know you had ink? I was actually thinking of an arm band that incorporated the Mopar "M" but had been working on this one for awhile. The next step would be to extend the tribal design down and then turn it into an armband. We'll see. I'm probably done for awhile though.

Eric, looking at it, yeah I guess I can see how you think that. You must have done well on those ink blot tests as a kid!

Primer, good deal! I hear Cali. is just saturated with tattoo artists. My guy goes there to get his done. If you want to see his website, its www.ladyluckink.com

Anyone thinking about it, think long and hard and make sure that you REALLY like the design.

75dart, nope.. The dopers up here are too stupid to recognize things like that! LOL

And for those that have read this topic with negative opinions on tattoos but havent expressed them... Thanks!

I've got 2 now, and 2 to go. After the first one (the hurdle) it's hard to stop (the downhill slide).

Tattoos are certainly not for everyone, but certainly a lot more "socially acceptable" in this day than 30-40 years ago.

I have a sticker on the Spray-Painted Dart Wagon reading "The More You Disapprove, The More Fun It Is For Me" and another reading "Ugly Is In"

But why think long and hard about it...Not like these things are permanent. A good artist can just ink right over anything.

The idea for my left sleve (The driving arm) started when I was 14 and changed a bit over the years, but has stayed the same since I was 17...I'm 28 soon. Time for me to shut up and do it! The other arm and back are 3-4 years old.

Definately research the local artists and talked to every inked up biker you can before choosing different artists for different styles.

I saw a piece that Khal did on my buddy Matt that is flat-out awesome. Down Matt's forearms he outlined the words "GEAR" for one arm and "HEAD" for the other. Then he filled in the outlines with a service manual diagram of a disassembled 8-3/4 rear. Amazing detail on the caps, ring gear, sure-grip, etc.

Oh Man tell me you have pics of that!!! That sounds coollllllllll

I am a huge ink fan. My collection started over 10 years ago with a tribal mermaid on my left inside calf. I still love the look of the peice today. My second peice is unfortunlatly a work in process, an oriental dragon in water covering almost my entire right leg. Started 10 years ago. The outline is there but not much elese. Long story. I can not wait to get more and add to my collection.

Course the suits around the office probably would not like it if they found out!!!

Unlawful, I like the new peice...neat idea.

Yeah, When I do my sleeves I'll have to be really careful not to get anything that a short-sleeved collared shirt won't cover.

Guess I won't get "HELL YEAH" across my knuckles, either!

Gary, Ya know that tatts become an addiction, right???

Here's a pic of my latest. I got it back around X-mas. It is FAAAAAR from done. It will have a stone look to it when it's done. It'll kinda have "depth" to it.. More black, gray, maybe some red ,blue and purple too. Not sure yet. It is from the Queensryche "Tribe" cd. I call it a Tribal Amoeba {sp}..

The ones on my arm are of a tribal band with red "beads". That was my first one. It didn't go completely around my arm soooo, I finished it with my wifes name in Old English text..Made her day.. I'd like to get the next one on my right upper arm or inner bicep area. Not sure yet..
