Been a while since I took this apart and my service manual is for a 72. Question is, I know there is a bolt that goes through the lower hole of the bracket but it seems the ball stud is too small to hold the bracket down. Should there be a washer on the ball stud to hold the bracket down at that spot? I don't recall there being one and there was not one in my ball stud bag.
Thanks, Joe

Small or Big block? Either way the ballstud screws into the bellhousing, its not part of a bracket. No washer under the ballstud either. Are you asking about the pivot bracket for the column lock linkage? Dan
