One step at a time, Rickmeister. Stereo install, then interior install, finish up a couple small things, then we fire up that Performance Only powered mall crawlin' beast. Maybe in 3 weeks.

I'm starting to lose my patience with Vanco. He's had my hydroboost unit for a month now for a port and rebuild, and the only thing he's done with it during that time is take it apart. He told me beforehand that it would be a 3 day turn around, and he won't give me any kind of an estimate on when he will be done with it. I'm seriously thinking of cutting my losses and buying a brand new unit (NOT from Vanco) instead of waiting for God knows how long. I threw in 7 quarts of ATF IV in the fresh 727. Will add more when shes running. Tomorrow, I'm going to put a few gallons of gas in the tank, disconnect the fuel line at the carb, put the end of it in a bucket, turn the pump on and flush out the fuel line, as a precautionary measure. Here's something to get excited about! The Jeep has windshield wipers again! Woo-hoo!

Well, I had my first major setback with the Jeep today. Yesterday, I put 7 quarts of trans fluid in the 727. This morning, I found a large wet spot about 8" in diameter on the floor. I was hoping it was leaking from a loose trans cooler fitting, but that wasn't the case. It is leaking where the back of the trans mates with the transfer case, which suggests to me that its the rear seal on the trans. This baffles me, because I had the trans completely rebuilt by a trusted local trans builder. At a minimum, I'll have to pull the transfer case and take a close look at the seal. Sucks...
