Still running wires. The 6 ga. welding cable showed up at my house today. It will be run from the alternator output stud to the Mega Fuse. I placed an order today for Cibie E-code headlight housings, and a pair of Philips X-treme Vision H4 55W bulbs. These parts, plus the fat 10 ga. power wires in the headlight harness should make for very powerful headlights! The Candela Electric H4 headlight conversion wiring harness showed up today as well.

Progress report on the wiring work I did this weekend. Headlights: The headlight wiring is done, except for screwing the ground wires to the frame. I cut off the plastic headlight plugs, and replaced them with ceramic plugs. This is necessary if I ever decide to put in higher wattage headlight bulbs. I installed a 90º plug on the passenger side, due to the close proximity of the offset radiator. Turn signals: I cut off the factory connectors and replaced them with Weatherpacks. Wiring is done, except for screwing the ground wires to the frame. Courtesy lights: Installed a pair of them under the dash. You know, a Jeep without courtesy lights, is just plain uncivilized. So now, when either door is opened, the foot wells will be illuminated. Distribution block: I made a mounting bracket for it. The fuse panel wiring is slowly coming together.

Just a quick update on the wiring work I got done this weekend.
1. I wired up the wiper switch, which includes figuring out where the wires go from the new wiper motor (due to having to cut off the Deutsch connector and replace with a Weatherpack connector).
2. The heater system is completely wired up.
3. The windshield washer motor is wired up.
4. The ignition system is wired up.
Wiring work left to do:
- Fuel pump - Horns - All of the gauges - Radiator cooling fan - Trans cooling fan - Stereo system - CB radio
Over the next couple evenings, I'll knock out the horns, fuel pump, and trans cooling fan.
I got an email yesterday, informing me that Delta Current Control (DCC) shipped my fan controller. As soon as it arrives, I'll get to wiring up the cooling fan.

Wiring update. Over the past few days, the following items got wired up: - 2 speed Ford T-Bird electric cooling fan (which includes the DCC SP2 Controller) - in-tank fuel pump - fuel level sender - brake light switch - hot and ground wires for the Pioneer head unit - hot and ground wires for the Cobra CB The list of items needing to get wired up is getting shorter: - gauges - trans cooler fan - stereo system - horns - 12 volt auxiliary power source (for recharging cell phones, or whatever) I will be installing 4 rocker switches to the right of the trans shifter on the center console panel. One of them will enable me to manually turn on the radiator cooling fan, and another to do the same for the trans cooler fan. The other two switches will be installed as place holders for any future additions (external lighting, rocket launcher, zombie death ray, what have you... )

Placed an order today for a Firestik FS 4' long CB antenna, along with the cable and other pieces needed to complete the installation, including a quick release mechanism. I haven't decided on where I'm going to mount it, yet. From all that I have read, no convenient place on a Jeep is ideal. Most likely, it will be mounted on, or above the rear bumper. Hella horns are mounted. View from above. View from below. Here's an up to the minute pic of the "controlled chaos", otherwise known as the wiring job!
